The plane fell out of the runway at the airport in Balice. New information
Here is the latest information on the incident at the International Airport John Paul II Kraków-Balice.
A passenger plane, which flew from Antalya (Türkiye) to Krakow, fell out of the runway during the landing. Then the machine was on the greenery next to the belt.
This disturbing and very dangerous event occurred on Sunday (September 14) in the afternoon. There were about 190 passengers on board. Everyone was successfully evacuated.

The most important in all this dangerous event is the information provided by the spokeswoman for Krakow Airport. – From the initial information we have, nothing serious happened to anyone – said Monika Chylaszek, quoted by the Polish press agency.
Why did the passenger aircraft suddenly fall out of the runway? It is not known. – It will be the subject of a thorough examination – indicated a representative of the Lesser Poland airport. The case will be analyzed by the State Commission for the Air Accidents Research (PKBWL).
PAP reports that until the evening – until 18:00 – departures and arrivals at the Krakow airport were suspended. A spokesman for the Polish Airlines “LOT” – Krzysztof Moczulski – said on X that some planes were in the meantime either turned or redirected to other airports – this concerned traveling from Warsaw to the capital of Lesser Poland, as well as from Palermo (Italy) to Katowice (i.e. to Silesia). In the flight schedule, passengers can also read about possible delays of some flights.
