The perfect winter village by the sea. There is more iodine at this time of year
The Baltic Sea in winter can be as attractive as in summer. Although ski slopes will reign supreme at the moment, towns on the other side of Poland like this one will also have their supporters.
Have you heard about Jastrzębia Góra? She is the leader in November. Of course, she is not the only one attractive at this time, but she is definitely talked about. According to Radio Eska, a very interesting trend has been noticed. Tourists by the sea are tempted by low prices and a peaceful atmosphere.
Jastrzębia Góra is perfect for winter
Jastrzębia Góra is located in the province of Pomeranian Voivodeship near Puck. It is also relatively close to Tricity and Władysławowo. It is famous, among others, because it is the northernmost town in Poland, but also because of its beautiful beach, cliff and trees that are natural monuments – mainly beeches.
It turns out that in late autumn and winter this place still has a lot to offer and pleases the eyes of tourists. Their influx was noticed there, among others. over the long weekend earlier this month. Ice cream stands and souvenir shops remained open, and there was no shortage of people willing to shop. The Wax Museum is also open outside the season, and special events are organized – on November 11, for example, there was a run from Władysławowo and Rozewie.
A trip to the seaside at this time of year is also worth considering for health reasons. Iodine is most abundant there in winter, as the colder months favor the formation of sea aerosol. This is favored by strong winds and storms.
Tourists are eager to come back
The long-time village head of Jastrzębia Góra and current councilor of the Pomeranian Voivodeship Assembly, Szymon Redlin, revealed in an interview with Radio Eska what the phenomenon of this place is. He referred, among others, to: for long-term work. The specific character and location close to the Tricity are also important. “Many people have great sentiment for Jastrzębia Góra. This is due to the fact that in the past there were many recreation centers, summer camps and green schools here. When people return, they want to visit the places where they stayed as children.” – he transmitted.
Prices also influence the popularity of the Baltic village in the off-season. Currently, accommodation can be booked for a fraction of the price of the season, and it should also be cheaper in restaurants. This is appreciated by, among others: those who prefer to go abroad during the peak holiday season and only in winter seek respite at the Polish seaside.
“They come for the weekend to break away from everyday life, change the surroundings and take a leisurely walk without having to travel long distances. They are also looking for quieter places, avoiding the ‘mega accumulation’ of tourists, which often takes place, for example, in Zakopane,” Redlin noted.
Have you heard about this place yet? It is worth thinking about, among others: during a visit to Gdańsk at the Christmas market. Who knows, maybe it is in Jastrzębia Góra that you will find the perfect accommodation for yourself, and at the same time you will go for a walk in the forest and charming scenery?
