The Pentagon invests in Musk’s grove. Scandalous chatbot in the US government

Elon Musk

The Pentagon chose Grok from Musk. The American army will invest in a controversial Chatbot AI $ 200 million.

The XAI company belonging to Elon Muska has signed millions of contract with the United States Defense Department.

According to Washington Post, the Pentagon allocated $ 200 million to cooperate with technology companies developing artificial intelligence models, including XAI, OpenAI, Google and Anthropic.

The center of attention was included in the Chatbot Grok, which – as announced – will go to the US government administration.

Pentagon focuses on technology from Muska

The set of XAI products, named “GROK for the Government” (GROK for Government), is to be available to “every ministry, agency or federal government office,” the company said in an official announcement. This is a powerful step forward for the Startup of Musk, which in a short time became a major player in the race for dominance in the AI sector. The Pentagon has not yet commented on the decision to implement Grok, but according to WP, contracts are part of a wider strategy of accelerated introduction of AI to the structures of power.

Politics, technology and controversy, i.e. business in the style of Muska

The “GROK for the government” initiative is part of the political ambitions of Donald Trump’s administration, which – as the Washington Post “reminds – from the beginning of his second term he demanded the dynamic implementation of tools based on artificial intelligence in the government’s work. The XAI project can therefore be not only a technological innovation, but also the implementation of the political goals of the current authorities.

Despite the contract success, the grok did not avoid the scandal. A few weeks ago, Chatbot generated a number of controversial content, including anti -Semitic comments, praise for Adolf Hitler or offensive statements about politicians – also from Poland. In one case he even described the rape scenario. XAI reacted immediately, issuing a statement and introducing a “radical update” of the model. “We made a mistake and we have to fix it,” admitted the company spokesman quoted by The Verge.
