The owners of centers and guest houses on the Baltic Sea complain about the lack of tourists. They argue, among others, that “prices are not as high as people think.”

The weather does not encourage spending time on the Baltic Sea. The sun is interspersed with rain, and the air temperature favors walking more than sunbathing. The owners of holiday resorts and quarters, with whom he talked “Fakt”, complain about the lack of tourists. They claim that “it wasn’t so bad for a long time” and “there are simply no people.” According to Mr. Tomasz, it is “the worst season in 30 years”.

– In previous years, how many places I didn’t have, everything was taken. And today? The rooms are full in 70 percent In the evenings I pass by the bars, and there are emptiness – comments the owner of the center from Dźwirzyn. Mr. Tomasz complains that it is nonsense that he is still raining at the seaside. He argues that “the weather is much better than they say.” In his opinion, “prices are not as high as people think” and gives an example: a two -course dinner for PLN 42. – Expensive? I don’t think so, he said.

The lifeguard from the beach in Dźwirzyna notes that “for a month only five days were really beach”. Mrs. Izabela, who has been running a guest house for 15 years, believes that “weather forecasts are misleading people, which makes tourists definitely less”. He adds that in previous seasons she received up to 70 telephones a day asking for rooms reservations. – For example, no one called. Zero reservations, even zero questions – regrets a woman.

This year the season began later than usual, in mid -July. Forewalists come mainly. Mrs. Izabela expects, however, that “everything will end in mid -August.” He points out that “nothing is happening that would show that it will be better.” Mrs. Jolanta, who has been running a guest house for over 50 years, in turn assesses that people simply do not have money or willingness to vacation. He also admits that she had “no choice” through the path and she had to raise prices in her facility.
