The Christmas market season is fast approaching. The one in question has been operating since Friday. Every year it attracts crowds of residents and tourists. This is what awaits us in Bydgoszcz.

There is a lot to be said about the most beautiful fairs in the world. There is also a lot of talk about those that are overrated, the most expensive or those offering all-inclusive offers. Have you heard about this unique Polish gem?

It’s not about the announced novelty in Warsaw or the traditional Christmas fairs in Gdańsk and Krakow. Not many people know, but in Bydgoszcz you can catch a fair on the bridge. You won’t find something similar anywhere else in our country.

Christmas market on the bridge

In Bydgoszcz, an inconspicuous city in northern Poland, on November 21 at 6 p.m. one of the most unusual Christmas markets began. The area suddenly lit up with thousands of colorful Christmas tree lights and illuminations. In this city, celebrations take place at the Old Town Bridge and Teatralny Square.

Old Town Bridge Jerzy Sulima-Kamiński changes beyond recognition. It is appreciated not only on special occasions, after all it connects both banks of the Brda River, along ul. Mostowa – one of the oldest streets in the city. Now, however, everyone can feel like they are in a fairy tale.

During the fair, the bridge features, among others: stands with handicrafts, decorations, cosmetics, jewelry and food products. We will taste, among others: Italian, German and Spanish dishes. As a souvenir or gift, we can buy, among others: knitted hats, scarves, gloves and Christmas decorations.

This surprises Bydgoszcz

There will be many more attractions in Bydgoszcz in the near future. It is worth coming to the fair, among others: On December 6, when Saint will walk the streets. Santa Claus. Something was also announced for December 12, when the star of the fair, Stanisław Karpiel-Bułecka, and the Bartnicky band will perform.

Additionally, there will be a rollercoaster, a 43-meter mill wheel and live music on the city streets. The fair is to last for a month – until December 25, and the amusement park will be open for over two months. It is also worth visiting the Rybi Rynek and Barka Lemara.
