Ryanair announces a new holiday connection from Wrocław. Poles will fly to a country that has been close to them for years.
Poles are changing their travel habits. Until recently, Croatia was only associated with a long car trip through the Czech Republic, Austria and Slovenia. Now, thanks to low-cost airlines, tourists are increasingly choosing a comfortable plane, often combined with renting a car on site, which allows them to pleasantly discover more beaches and charming towns. Ryanair recently announced further connections from our country to the Adriatic Sea. This time, it will be primarily the inhabitants of Wrocław who will benefit from it. The destination of the trip will be Rijeka.
Rijeka directly from Wrocław
Rijeka, the third largest city in Croatia, is the gateway to the most beautiful beaches on the Adriatic. From here we can easily get to the more southern regions of the country or to popular islands. Rijeka itself, as a port city, has its advantages. Although for many it will not be as beautiful as Split or Dubrovnik, it is worth spending a few days here. Ryanair gives us a chance to do this thanks to the new connection. The new cruise to Rijeka from Wrocław, which will start on June 2, 2025, has been planned perfectly for a weekend city break. Departures from the port in Strachowice will take place on Fridays at 12:50, and returns from Croatia – on Mondays at 16:15. Connections will be made twice a week. Passengers will spend approximately 90 minutes on board.
Car or plane?
Tickets can be purchased from PLN 170 one way. However, it is worth hunting for promotions that can reduce the final cost of the trip. Whether a plane will ultimately be more expensive than a car depends on your travel style. If you are traveling alone or with one accompanying person, purchasing a flight ticket may be a better solution. However, if we plan to explore Croatia with a larger group or stay there for longer than two or three weeks, having our own car will be a huge advantage. A plane will be the best option if we are going to Rijeka only for a short city break. From Wrocław we can also easily fly to two other Croatian cities – Dubrovnik and Zadar.
