The Ministry of Labor reacts to the controversial graphic. “Unfortunate”

The General Headquarters of the Volunteer Labor Corps (OHP) has caused controversy in recent days by posting a graphic encouraging teenagers to take up professional activity. The organization argues that “an embarrassment” is, among others, spending your pocket money and having no plans to change it, or an empty CV and lack of experience. “Class” is having your own salary at the age of 16, a few years of work experience and a certain job at the start, as well as taking matters into your own hands and having your own plan for the future.

The graphics caused a wave of comments and many critical voices. Adrian Zandberg did not hide his outrage, according to which OHP attacks 16-year-olds because they are not yet working. The Razem leader posted an entry in which he addressed Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk, the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy, who supervises the institution, in strong words. – Are you screwed up in this government? Is a state institution attacking SIXTEEN-YEAR-OLDS for not working for pay? (original spelling) – wrote Zandberg.

The family resort responds

The Ministry of Labor sent the editorial office of “Wprost” its position on this matter. – The graphic that appeared on the social media of the OHP Headquarters was unfortunate and its content is not consistent with the OHP mission, which is why it was removed by the institution itself. No teenager should be stigmatized for not taking up employment at the age of 16 – this is the position of the OHP Headquarters and the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy – emphasizes the press office of the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy.

– The Volunteer Labor Corps is an institution that has been carrying out a specific and necessary mission for years – supporting young people, including those at risk of social exclusion, in acquiring a profession, graduating from school and entering the labor market. Every day he helps thousands of teenagers who would be pushed out of the market without OHP. OHP draws conclusions from this situation. The core of this institution’s work is and will remain specific young people to whom it gives a chance – adds the ministry.
