The Ministry of Family issued a statement regarding the benefit. The deadline is November 30

Ministra rodziny Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk

The Ministry of Family reminds that applications for 300 plus can be submitted until the end of November. This means that parents and guardians have less and less time to submit documents regarding funds for school supplies.

Parent. Apply for the “Dobry Start” benefit. You have until the end of November to do so – reminds the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy in a message on the X platform.

PLN 300 (hence the common name of the 300 plus benefit) for a school layette is granted to a child studying at school aged 7 to 20, and for a disabled child up to the student’s 24th birthday.

Support is available once a year for a child studying at school until they turn 20 years old or – in the case of disabled children – 24 years old. Age is calculated on a yearly basis. This means that students in the last years of technical secondary schools and post-secondary schools are entitled to the benefit if they are 20 years old or 24 years old before the start of the school year. – emphasizes the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS).

300 plus is not available for children attending kindergarten and children completing one-year kindergarten preparation in the so-called kindergarten or school. The benefit also does not cover students.

Applications for 300 plus by the end of November. How to assemble them?

Applications can only be submitted electronically via:

  • mZUS application,

  • Electronic Services Platform (PUE)/eZUS,

  • electronic banking,

  • Emp@tia portal.

The “Dobry Start” program has been operating since 2018. Since then, the benefit for school supplies has not been indexed. A SW Research survey for “Wprost” conducted just before the start of the school year shows that almost half of Poles (47.4%) believe that 300 plus – just like 500 plus two years ago – should be valorized. Almost every third respondent (32.3%) has the opposite opinion, and 20.3%. has no opinion on this matter.
