The Minister of Finance did not mince his words. “Such situations are pathological”

Agata Adamek asked a politician from the Civic Coalition, among others: about the detention of Jacek Sutryk, a subsidy for Law and Justice, the issue of health insurance premiums and energy prices. Finally, there was also a question about the presidential candidate, whether the Minister of Finance supports Rafał Trzaskowski or Radosław Sikorski.

“The state works”

Detention of the president of Wrocław by the CBA? – We see that state authorities are working. I expect full cooperation and providing all information from Jacek Sutryk. The matter must be resolved and explained. We also see that the prosecutor’s office operates regardless of the current political situation. This would not be the case under PiS rule, said Andrzej Domański.

– Situations like the one at Collegium Humanum are pathological. Education should be obtained in an honest way and only then can you sit on the supervisory boards of companies. We know that this was not the case with Collegium Humanum, admitted the politician.

Depriving PiS of subsidies

– The Minister of Finance acts on the basis of legal provisions. I am not a party to this case. If the Supreme Court decides something, the decision is then made by the National Electoral Commission, and I implement it. I would like to remind you that a similar situation occurred in 2016, during the PiS government. Then the Nowoczesna party was deprived of its subsidy. PiS representatives are also hypocritical, Domański added.

Health insurance premium, energy prices

– Entrepreneurs cannot wait any longer, this discussion is taking too long. At the next government meeting, we will decide on a lower health insurance premium for 2025. We have also discussed possible solutions for 2026. According to preliminary estimates, reducing the health insurance premium will cost the state budget approximately PLN 1 billion next year and PLN 4.6 billion the following year – noted the Minister of Finance.

– I reassure Polish women and men. We want energy prices not to increase. We are working on solutions so that it will not be more expensive in 2025. We also want these prices to drop in the future. We, as a government, have clearly accelerated the energy transformation. Our predecessors neglected this matter, explained the minister.

Sikorski or Trzaskowski?

Andrzej Domański did not say directly in the program who he would support in the party primaries that will choose the presidential candidate in 2025. – They both have extensive experience and are great. I will slowly think about what decision to make and who to vote for, concluded the Minister of Finance.
