The politician emphasized that Polish services treat this event “extremely seriously”. Minister of Digitization Krzysztof Gawkowski announced that Wednesday’s attack on the office of parliamentarians of Platforma Obywatelska was carried out by groups from Russia and Belarus. – The action was not carried out by accident – he noted.

The day before, Prime Minister Donald Tusk commented through the portal X. “Cyber attack on the platform’s IT system. A foreign interference in elections began. The services point to the eastern trace,” he wrote.
“State services work intensively in connection with the Cyber security incident regarding the PO. The matter is serious and we will inform about all the details on a regular basis,” Deputy Prime Minister Gawkowski answered.
The head of the Chancellery of Prime Minister Jan Grabiec emphasized that there was a “cybernetic attack on IT systems, exactly on the computers of both employees of the Civic Platform office and the election staff.”
He added that he was talking about “an attempt to take control of these computers, the possibility of monitoring all content from the outside, or generating content through these computers.”
As he said, the hacker’s crosshairs included “systems used by the Civic Platform, an election staff that are used to function in the election campaign.” He said that it was about computers located in different places, but cooperating within the PO structures.
