The mayor of Głogów made a surprising “offer” to Musk. “The emails have already gone.”

Elon Musk is planning to purchase real estate in Europe, which will be his new headquarters for professional purposes. There is a slight chance that the choice will fall on a historic castle in Poland, in the Opole Voivodeship.
Musk, who became one of the most politically important people in the United States – after the victory of Republican Donald Trump in the presidential election – is to look for a place for his new headquarters. I need real estate in Europe. The Italian press recently reported about it, including the regional daily “Il Tirreno”. This is because the world’s richest man is expected to look for property in the south of the continent. This place is to be the new center for coordinating the development of his companies. It is worth recalling that Musk is the owner of the space industry enterprise SpaceX, the social media platform X, and the electric car manufacturer Tesla.
But will Italy really be chosen by Musk? There is a slight chance that he will consider another, surprising proposal that came straight from Poland, specifically from Głógówek – Polsat News reports.
Will Musk buy a castle in Upper Silesia? “It’s always worth trying”
The editorial team reports that a letter to Musk with an offer to sell the castle, the first stronghold of which was built at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries and once belonging to the Opole princes, was sent by Piotr Bujak himself – the mayor of Głógówek. The building has features of Mannerist and Baroque style. It has become a part of the panorama of the area and is associated with Upper Silesia. For many years it also served as the seat of the Oppersdorff family (a Silesian noble family).
The TV station reminds that in 2005 the castle was owned by a private investor, but about eight years later it became the property of the commune again. In the past, during World War II, the building was inhabited by German families.
The mayor of Głógówek admitted on Facebook that the offer was “bravura”. According to the politician, a castle in Upper Silesia is a “better location” than Italy. “The emails have already gone. It’s always worth trying,” said the ruler.
