The man opened the plane door and climbed onto the wing. Screaming and panic on board

The passenger showed exceptional thoughtlessness. He opened the emergency door while the plane was still above the ground. He did not stop there. It had fatal consequences.

News of the unpleasant incident spread across foreign media. A recording also appeared online, showing the unruly tourist and the moment the door opened. It all looks terrifying. Screams could be heard on board.

Tourist prank on a plane

The incident occurred on board a Jetstar flight in Australia. The AirbusA320-200 departed Sydney at 8:15 a.m. on Thursday, August 22 for Melbourne and landed there at around 10 a.m. Just before that, one of the passengers threw himself at the emergency door. It didn’t end there. As a result of his action, the evacuation slide opened. The man didn’t use it, but went onto the wing of the plane and climbed onto the engine.

You can see everything in the video posted on YouTube. After the doors opened, it became very windy and dangerous on board. You can also see that the passenger eventually goes down the wing onto the runway and ends up in the hands of the services.

The man suffered the consequences

Local officials said the passenger posed a serious security risk at the airport. One passenger on the scene, Audrey Varghese, described a scene of panic, “as passengers were screaming and shouting as the man began to behave erratically before he opened the hatch,” she told The Mirror. “The man was behaving quite strangely,” others reported.

Australian Federal Police officers were alerted by Jetstar staff and immediately arrested the man for “allegedly behaving aggressively and breaching aircraft safety protocols”. He was assessed by paramedics and taken to hospital where he remains for further tests and observation.

The Mirror reports that police are continuing to investigate and charges are expected to be laid at a later date. Melbourne Airport confirmed that the man was restrained by cabin and ground staff before police intervened.
