The lowest prices in Europe and no crowds. This city is still underrated

Belgrad

This beautiful European city is still in the shade. Tourists will find low prices and respite from crowds.

Belgrade is not a city that we are the first to see through the eyes of imagination, thinking about the perfect European capital for the weekend. The capital of Serbia still remains one of the most underestimated cities on the Old Continent that is waiting for its great time. “Go there now before Belgrade becomes another fashionable place,” the Australian service The Sydney Morning Herald advises his readers. Although it is not as beautiful here as in Rome or Paris, tourists can count on authentic experiences, no crowds and low prices.

Australians recommend Belgrade

Tourists from Australia traveling to Europe often choose more than one, but at least a few places to visit. Due to the long and expensive journey, the so -called “Eurotrings” are popular, i.e. longer, several -day trips, during which many countries and cities are visited. Tourists from across the ocean usually focus on the biggest attractions that they will find in cities such as Paris, Rome, Barcelona, Berlin, Prague and Amsterdam. Less often they visit Eastern Europe or the Balkans, and this is where there are many surprises that can delight them.

In the recent article The Sydney Morning Herald recommends its readers in a non -obvious way. “There is no splendor here as in Rome or Paris, nor the power of culture as in Athens. Belgrade is not beautiful. However, this is good news, because it means that we will find some of the lowest prices in Europe and no crowds.” – we read.

Travel from Poland to Belgrade

Belgrade, in which the most important monuments are the ruins of the Serbian-Vescin-Habsburg fortress and the temple of Saint Sawa, is also not particularly often visited by tourists from Poland. The neighboring Croatia, as well as Slovenia or Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is visited “on the way” on the beaches of the Adriatic is much more popular. Belgrade seems to be a bit off the beaten track.

Although cheap airlines do not fly from Poland to Belgrade, we will get from Krakow by Air Serbia, and from Warsaw on board the PLL LOT carrier.
