The most important tournament for Polish volleyball players, i.e. World Championships in the Philippines. The team of Nikola Grbicia is considered one of the favorites to the medal.

Volleyball World Cup. Who will Poles play with?

None of the opponents in the first stage of the tournament should cause Poles problems. The representation will start the struggle with the competition with the representation Romania (September 13). Two days later, Poles will face Eaters. At the end of the group stage (September 17), a match will be played with Netherlands.

After promotion to the 1/8 finals, which seems almost reliable, Polish volleyballers will go to one of the teams from the G group, which included Türkiye, Libya, Canada and Japan.

Grbcia will have a difficult decision. Who will go to the World Championships?

The most important question at the last stage of the preparation of the national team is who will be in the fourteen, which will fly to the Philippines.

On August 16, the trainer decided to dispel some doubts. Nikola Grbić announced that he decided to narrow down a group training in Zakopane to 16 volleyball players.

Two volleyballers said goodbye to dreams of participating in the world championships. The attacker Bartosz Bołądź and Middle Mateusz Poręba will not participate in further preparations.

The selector’s decision should not surprise anyone. Bartosz Bołądź regularly lost the competition for a place in the match warehouse with Kewin Sasak and Mateusz Poręba had to give way to Jakub Nowak and Szymon Jakubiszak.

PZPS announced, however, that both players remain at the coach’s disposal in the event of an injury of one of the volleyball players.

Bartosz Kurek returns to the national team?

The deletion from the list of the former PGE player of the Warsaw project and last year’s Olympic runner -up means that it is almost 100 % sure to participate in the tournament Bartosz Kurek.

The captain of the Polish team did not participate, among others In the League of Nations in Gdańsk due to back pain, which hindered his normal training.

The volleyballers will remain at the grouping in Zakopane for another week. Then the players of Nikola Grbcia will go to Krakow, where on August 29-21 they will take part in the Wagner Memorial. Before the world championships, there is another test – a friendly match with Brazil.
