The Japanese giant invests in Poland. Recruits employees

A Japanese manufacturer of heat pumps is building a new plant in Poland. The company intends to employ 3,000. employees.

A new heat pump factory from Daikin – the Japanese leader in the heating and air-conditioning systems market – is being built in Ksawerów near Łódź. The new investment promises to employ up to 3,000 employees by 2030, and the company is constantly looking for candidates for various positions.

Production at the factory is scheduled to start in December this year, and the new plant is to be a key production center for Daikin Europe. Company representatives, including Toshitaka Tsubouchi, president of Daikin Europe, expressed hope in an interview with “Gazeta Wyborcza” that the investment will contribute to achieving a leading position on the heat pump market in Europe.

Hiromitsu Iwasaki, vice president of Daikin Europe, emphasized that Poland was chosen not only because of the availability of qualified staff, but also because of its strategic location, which supports Daikin’s policy of proximity. This means that all heating products intended for the European market will be manufactured in this factory. The company plans to quadruple the production of heat pumps by 2025, which will allow for stable supplies in response to the growing demand for these devices.

Millions of euros

The value of the investment in Poland is estimated at EUR 300 million. Daikin is actively recruiting – currently looking for junior accounting specialists who have completed or are currently studying, have at least two years of experience and knowledge of English and the SAP system. The company also employs quality controllers with basic knowledge of English and the ability to operate the SAP system and read technical drawings. While salary amounts have not been disclosed, recruitment is open to various levels of experience.

Daikin, headquartered in Osaka, currently employs approximately 89,000 people worldwide. In addition to plants in Poland, the company has factories in countries such as Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Spain, Germany, Turkey, Great Britain and Italy.

In 2021, Daikin recorded sales of EUR 23.7 billion, and the investment in Poland is expected to be a key element of the company’s expansion strategy on the European heat pump and air conditioning market. The new Daikin plant is also a great opportunity for the region – not only for new jobs, but also for further technological development.
