The Italians were delighted with the Polish champion! Another well-deserved award
Kamil Semeniuk clearly has no intention of slowing down. The Polish volleyball representative once again enchanted in the colors of Sir Susa Scai Perugia.
An interesting volleyball competition is scheduled for Sunday (November 2) on the Italian Peninsula. Sir Susa Scai Perugia, played by Kamil Semeniuk and Wassim Ben Tara (Tunisian volleyball player with Polish citizenship), played away against Valsa Group Modena.
Kamil Semeniuk with the MVP award of the match. Great form of the Polish representative
Although the team from Perugia was the favorite, it could be assumed that Modena would do everything at home to beat the higher-ranked opponent. This was actually the case, because although the visitors won 3:1, it is difficult to describe the match as a breeze.
Thanks to the three-point win, Perugia is now second in the table in the Italian league. Rana Verona, the leader, has a point more than the team of Semeniuk and company.
Interestingly, Semeniuk was awarded the MVP statuette of the match. The Pole was not the best scorer, but he certainly finished important balls, and also maintained an appropriate level in several elements. Nine points scored, including three service aces, plus 63%. positive reception and six valuable saves, which allowed Perugia to launch effective counterattacks.
This is Semeniuk’s typical play, which Polish fans should remember from his national team period. Even though the receiver is not the frontman, in the end – the most important thing on the pitch may depend on him.
– I’m happy, but this MVP award belongs to the entire team. It was a very difficult match against a demanding opponent. Modena has been playing very well since the beginning of the season and they confirmed it against us. The most important thing, however, is that we maintained concentration and balance until the end. We had some problems with our play at some point, but we got back up and started showing our proper style. We are happy because we won a difficult match – said the Polish receiver after the victory.
Interestingly, in the match against Modena, the visiting side recorded two milestone anniversaries. Italian playmaker Simone Giannelli played his 400th game in the competition. However, Semeniuk’s teammate from the receiving position – Japanese Yuki Ishikawa – appeared on the pitch for the 300th time in the realities of the Apennine Peninsula.
