The iconic route returns in a new version. We can get there by bus no. 666

Flixbus

Flixbus announces the launch of an iconic route to the sea. Bus journeys no. 666 will start this summer.

Flixbus will start selling tickets for new holiday routes this week. The carrier’s customers can count on trips to as many as fifty towns on the Baltic Sea, which will significantly facilitate travel planning in the event of a lack of seats on the trains. The most important connection is the announced new version of the famous route No. 666 from Dębki to Hel, which will start in Krakow. Green buses will run, among others: through Warsaw and Władysławowo to reach the Hel Peninsula after about thirteen hours.

Flixbus directly to Hel

The new Flixbus connection will certainly not go unnoticed. Referring to the iconic line No. 666 from Dębki to Hel, the carrier wants to launch a similar connection from Krakow. So far, there has been no such route in the carrier’s network. According to Transinfo.pl, the bus will leave the capital of Małopolska around 6 am. It will reach Warsaw at 10:30, and arrival in Hel will take place around 7 p.m. “We will try to fight the traffic jams. We have chosen times when we think we will be able to cover this section,” said Michał Leman, managing director of FlixBus in Eastern Europe, during the press conference, quoted by Gazeta.pl. At the same time, the carrier focuses on convenient daytime connections, rather than night travel.

What’s more, the route will retain its controversial number. “It’s better when the line itself explains where it is going. Here, nothing more needs to be said. Everyone will understand,” added Leman. In the past, due to protests, the route then operated by PKS changed its number from 666 to 669.

New bus connections throughout Poland

In total, in the summer season of 2026, the carrier plans to launch connections to as many as seventeen additional cities. Thus, the number of seasonal connections is to increase to approximately 37. “FlixBus emphasizes that the holiday network of connections will continue to be developed, and the carrier wants to respond to the changing needs of travelers,” writes Transinfo.pl.
