The government is preparing changes in PPK? We have a comment of the Ministry of Finance

The Ministry of Finance in a commentary for “Wprost” confirms that he is working on changes in PPK. One of them assumes a more frequent employee record.
On Monday, Business Insider Polska announced that the government is planning to change the program of Employee Capital Plans (PPK) since 2019. One of them assumes a more frequent employee record.
Let us remind you that currently employees are enrolled in the program automatically every four years, as a result of which people who are not interested in participating in PPK must remember to re -resign at the right time (for the last time it happened in 2023). The government wants the autonapis to take place every two years.
Another change concerns the expansion of the PPK fund investment catalog, e.g. infrastructure funds, private equity and reit. The purpose of planned changes is to increase participation and develop the capital market.
Ministry of Finance about changes in PPK
The Ministry of Finance asked about possible changes in PPK. In the response sent to us, the ministry admits that he received from the organization and institution of the financial market proposals for changes in the PPK Act. They concern, among others of the above -mentioned issues.
– Currently, detailed analyzes of submitted proposals are underway regarding the possibility of conducting further legislative work on them, including their possible impact on the sector. After the end of this stage and, depending on the result of the impact assessment, decisions will be made regarding further work. At this stage, it is not possible to indicate the deadline – informs “Wprost” press office of the Ministry of Finance.
The data provided by our editorial office by the Polish Development Fund shows that at the end of February, almost 3.8 million employees participated in PPK. – 3.77 million people (as of February 24, 20125) already participate in employee capital plans, and the value of net assets (WAN) is PLN 33.38 billion. This means a dynamic increase in both the number of participants (only in the last month 44,000 new people joined the PPK) and assets, which confirms the growing trust in the program – Marta Damm-Świerkocka, a member of the board of PFR Portal PPK Sp.
