Projekt społeczno-edukacyjny „Sieć Pokoleń” burzy bariery cyfrowego wykluczenia seniorów w Polsce

Seniors are the largest group of people who have never used the Internet. T-Mobile wants to change this and make everyone use new technologies on an equal footing. That is why for several years he has been implementing the “Network of Generations” program, which aims to strengthen digital skills among the elderly. On SECZPOPokolen.pl, the operator has just prepared a new online course and invites you to stationary workshops.

Only 13 percent have basic digital skills. seniors – results from Eurostat data. Among people who never used the Internet, the largest group in 2023 were people aged 60-74 – in total, almost 2 million people. We want to educa in a simple way so that new skills are at the fingertips of everyone, regardless of its level of knowledge-emphasizes Olga Wółkiewicz-Kosior, head of the ESG department at T-Mobile Polska.

To strengthen the self -confidence of seniors and break the barriers that block them in the use of modern devices, specific tools are needed. That is why the operator has prepared a new online course, this time from the basics of smartphone service. Issues that are raised by the host Konrad Koterba, an Internet creator, television presenter and technology enthusiast, include sending SMS and MMS, using applications, taking photos and videos or security.

Comprehensive support for seniors

She carried out online training on using a computer and the Internet during a pandemic. She also delivered laptops to the pupils in senior homes all over Poland. In addition, she launched a special service on the “8 for senior” hotline.
