In 2025 alone, 7,000 serious cybersecurity incidents were recorded. Available data shows that there have been almost 4 million phishing attempts targeting military and critical infrastructure. This is when the enemy prepares to change tactics or take the most serious, large-scale actions.

As an example of one of the mentioned 7,000 attacks, the general gave an attack on the power grid in Poland. The hackers’ goal was to turn off electricity across the country. This could have led to chaos if not for effective countermeasures. – We have devoted a lot of energy, financial resources and determination to ensuring multi-level security, and now this results in our resilience – emphasized Molenda.

He also pointed out that it is not Polish infrastructure that is increasingly being attacked, but the military’s civilian partners – whether in the transport, logistics or energy sectors. He explained that Poles must cooperate with the civilian sector and maintain creativity at all times. As he emphasized, our WOC team, despite its young age, stands out in this field for its innovation and effectiveness.

– Poland, which is one of the most attacked countries in the world, is able to keep its guard high and we do not hear about spectacular attacks that have materialized – he noted. He admitted that artificial intelligence is also used in the fight against cybercriminals.

The establishment of the so-called Cyber Legion, a group of civilian experts who are ready to support military personnel in crisis situations. Currently, LEGION has over 3,000 specialists. Some of them even decided to take an oath and join the reserve. As military representatives emphasize, cybersecurity is a team game in which every specialist counts.
