Warszawa latem

The French media look at Poland with admiration. They have no doubt that our country is becoming one of the fastest developing countries in Europe.

French-speaking Infos Minutes news channel has prepared a short recording dedicated to Poland. According to the authors, “our country is becoming one of the fastest developing in Europe.”

Poland delights France. They can’t believe the pace of change

“Although a decade ago it was perceived as a country of changes after communism, today it is among the six largest economies of the European Union. The gross domestic product exceeds USD 1,000 billion, and the economic growth rate remains at the level of 3-3.5% per year,” the authors calculate.

The recording emphasized that “Poland’s economic success would not be possible without EU membership, which has brought tens of billions of euros of support.” “It not only helped develop industry, whose share in GDP reached a record 25%, but also raised the standard of living of residents to a level comparable to France,” they add.

Infos Minutes journalists have no doubt that Poland has recently become a major magnet for foreign tourists.

The French were delighted with Poland. Donald Tusk comments

These are not the only warm words addressed to Poland from France. At the end of January, the weekly “L’Express” devoted a special supplement to us entitled “Poland, the secrets of a miracle. This country is one step away from overtaking Japan.”

In this context it was quoted IMF forecasts, according to which Poland will overtake Japan in terms of GDP per capita this year. The impressive economic growth of 3.4 percent and the prospect of the country joining the G20 group were indicated.

The publication did not escape Donald Tusk’s attention. “Even the French are speechless. The ‘Polska’ express is rushing, and soon it will accelerate even more,” the Prime Minister wrote on social media.

Journalists from the Seine also mentioned calculations by local economists, which show that in just a few years the average Frenchman may be less wealthy than a Pole. The daily “La Croix” commented in extensive material on, among others: “an economic miracle and a spectacular increase in the quality of life of Polish women and men.”
