Mirosław Formela is dead. He was a multiple Polish representative, athlete, specializing in medium distances.
During his career, Mirosław Formela won four gold medals of the Polish championships and three indoor titles.

Formela specialized in long -distance runs, mainly at 800 and 1500 meters. He took part in his career, among others In the European Championships (2006) at the Open Stadium and in the Indoor World Championships (2003 and 2004) and Europe, also in the hall (2005). During HMŚ 2004 organized in Budapest, the Pole took 5th place in the final.
He won the Polish championship four times, 800 meters in 2003 and 2004 and in 1500 meters – in 2005 and 2006. These are the results achieved in open facilities. How did Formela cope in the hall during the national championship? The athlete has saved three gold rings on his account – at 800 meters (2005) and at 1500 m (2003 and 2004).
In the case of Formel’s indoor competition, he was able to unscrew the 5th result in history. The race from Spała, from February 6, 2005, ended the Polish athlete with a time of 3: 39.88 p.
The departure of Formela is a huge loss for the sports environment. This can be seen, among others through entries for tragic information that appeared on Thursday (i.e. 22.05) morning.
The causes of the death of the former athlete were not public.
