The five best holiday destinations. We will fly directly from Poland
A Christmas trip doesn’t have to mean visiting a fair. Ryanair has selected five alternative winter holiday destinations.
Ryanair presented a list of the most interesting destinations for winter trips. This time, however, tourists will not find cities for fans of Christmas markets, such as Vienna or Prague. Instead, the guide offers passengers journeys towards the sun, as well as leisurely visits to unique places with a peaceful atmosphere. The proposals also included Spain and Malta, which Poles love. There is also a city for lovers of slightly colder regions.
Warm places for the holidays
The list of places recommended by Ryanair includes, among others: Porto, perfect for those looking for the authentic atmosphere of a Portuguese winter. A walk along the Douro River, wine tastings and golden sunsets make the city delightful even in the off-season. You can fly to Porto from Warsaw, Krakow and Wrocław.
For those who want to forget about the December weather even more, Ryanair offers Malta and its mild Mediterranean climate. Although swimming won’t be possible at this time of year, it’s an ideal opportunity to explore the island’s ancient cities. It did not take any proposals from Spain either. “Warm, cosmopolitan and blissfully calm, Málaga is the perfect place for travelers looking to relax. Here you can enjoy beaches, art galleries, tapas bars and the Andalusian sun,” we read.
For fans of city breaks
Winter is a good time to visit Athens, and not only because of its world-famous monuments. Even in December you can find outdoor cafes here. “In one weekend you can get to know history, cuisine and the coast – without the holiday crowds. Ryanair flights available from Warsaw-Modlin, Wrocław or Katowice,” we read.
Alternatively, Stockholm offers a slightly different atmosphere – a festive escape full of simplicity, style and winter magic, perfect for travelers who prefer hygge over hustle and bustle.
