Yes for a Polish zloty, not for the euro – said Karol Nawrocki during his first speech in the Sejm.
President Karol Nawrocki just after the solemn sworn in gave his first speech as the head of the state. The new president also emphasized that he would not agree to raise the retirement age.
Nawrocki often spoke about his opposition to the possible replacement of the zloty with the European currency during the election campaign. In one of the election spots he argued that as the president he would be a guarantee of maintaining the Polish national currency.
Poles skeptical towards the euro
– EURO currency or Polish gold? Personally, I am against the liquidation of the Polish currency. As economists warn, the adoption of the euro currency will mean an increase in prices, resignation from currency sovereignty, as well as the transfer of part of our financial reserve to the European Central Bank in Germany. That is why I would like to clearly declare: a voice for me, it is also a voice for the Polish currency and our sovereignty – He spoke Nawrocki in the spot.
