The first ski resort open for the season. You can now ride here
Winter is only a month away, but the ski season in Poland has already started at the end of November. The center in Bukowina Tatrzańska paved the way.
There is just over a month left until the beginning of the calendar winter, and you can already ski in Poland. Not yet in Zakopane, where it snowed heavily on the night from Thursday to Friday and the weather is already setting the mood for winter madness.
Start of the ski season in Poland
As every year, the Ufo Ski resort in the heart of Bukowina Tatrzańska takes the lead. The UFO lift is located on the north-eastern slope of Wierch Olczański, offering a panorama of the entire Bukowina Tatrzańska. This year it started on Thursday, November 20.
The second in line is the Tylicz Master-Ski Małopolskie resort, which invites skiers from Saturday, November 22, from 9:00. How is it possible that driving conditions are already favorable?
“We have a specific microclimate in Tylicz. It is always three or four degrees colder here than in Nowy Sącz. Here we are in the mountains and even if the weather warms up after the first frosts, we are not afraid that the snow we produce will melt a little,” he explained in an interview with Gazeta Krakowska. Bartłomiej Miejski from the Master SKI station in Tylicz. He added that this year the center has a modernized system and new snow cannons.
The following are scheduled to launch in November:
-
November 28 – Krynica – Słotwiny Arena Małopolskie
-
November 23 – Tylicz Ski (second center in Tylicz)
-
November 29 – Grapa Ski – Litwinka (Czarna Góra)
-
November 29 – Krynica – Jaworzyna Krynicka
