What does the end of winter look like on the Baltic Sea? It turns out that the climate is already May-like. Some people visited the beach with a windbreak on the first weekend of March, and the next weekend it was no worse.

Until recently, snow and ice sculptures could be seen at the Polish seaside. Tourists came there during winter holidays to admire the unusual landscapes. When it was spring outside, many people took advantage of the sun’s rays. Last Saturday, March 14, screens appeared on some beaches.

Screens on the Baltic Sea

In Poland, screens are strongly associated with relaxation at the seaside, so they generally do not surprise anyone. However, they can cause surprise in winter. Let us remind you that the calendar spring is only a few days away – on March 20. Nevertheless, in Stegna, Kąty Rybackie, and earlier in Władysławowo, you could already see colorful windbreaks placed on the sand.

One of the new photos was published on the Facebook group “Na Mierzeja”. You can see a tourist who crashed near the shore and many happy walkers. Looking at some of the styles – short-sleeved blouses – you might think it’s already May. Ultimately, however, nothing could be further from the truth, the photo was taken in mid-March. “I guess summer has come early,” we read in the description of the online post.

Facebook users rushed to comment. “The guy with the screen is flawless. He protects himself from… 5 people”, “The season for screens is already open”, “It’s beautiful” – these are just some of the dozens of opinions. Many people recalled the sea, which until recently was covered with ice.

The Baltic Sea attracts tourists in spring

Many studies carried out in recent years show that the sea is increasingly no longer associated only with holiday relaxation. Poles are very eager to come there outside of June, July and August. This can be seen, among others, in photos published online. Many people take advantage of the time when there are no excess crowds and too many screens.

Currently, only individual pieces of windbreaks appear, although they still evoke emotions. Many people regularly point out that screens only disturb the order on the beach and there are too many of them. Do you mind? Are you going on a spring trip to the Baltic Sea?
