Everyone knows the Mostowiaków House, known from the famous TV series “M jak Miłość”. If you would like to see him live, don’t look for him in Grabina.
“M jak Miłość” is a series already considered a cult, appreciated and awarded many times. Although its first episode was broadcast 24 years ago, there is still a lot of talk about it today, and the actors portraying specific characters have gained great popularity. Most importantly, new episodes are still being recorded. A characteristic place for this production was Grabina and the house of the Mostowiak family. We checked where it really is.

Not in Grabin, but in the village of Piaski in the Piaseczno district in Masovia, we will find the house known from “M jak Miłość”. Many people may be surprised because the name of this place was not mentioned in the production. This is a common practice among the production crew. It sometimes happens that the town shown to viewers on the screens is actually a composite of several different locations and acquires a different name – known or fictitious.
The Sands estate presented in the series is not protected, so you can easily walk into it. We probably won’t go inside unless its inhabitants want to host us. It is worth remembering, however, that the series crew only shot outdoor scenes on site, so the actors never played inside the home.
This is how you will get to the Mostowiak house
The village of Piaski in the Piaseczno district is a very quiet and intimate place. It was once inhabited by peasants who owned their own farms or worked for others. Usually it was inhabited by a small number of people – currently there are about 100 people. There is a small road in quite poor condition leading to the Mostowiak house located there. The house itself is surrounded by garages and other buildings, and the area does not look attractive.
The village is close to, among others: residents of Warsaw. We can get there from the capital in about 30 minutes. From the center it is about 26 km. There are no attractions or wide roads there. Fields, small houses and vegetation will attract visitors’ attention. It will be calm and quiet, but we probably won’t meet the M jak Miłość team. This is all because the scenes are not recorded in a real house, but in a special hall arranged as the interior of this building.
Despite this, there are many photos on social media showing tourists looking for the famous house. They visit Piaski and take photos. Have you ever been there?
