The famous fee returns. Electricity bills will be higher

From July 1 this year. Households in Poland will again start incurring the costs of the power fee, which has been suspended over the past several months in connection with the introduction of a government anti -inflationary shield.

The Ministry of Climate and Environment does not plan to extend the suspension of the power fee, emphasizing that “implemented support mechanisms are adapted to the current market situation and preceded by comprehensive analysis.” The ministry also indicates that the power fee “plays an important role in ensuring energy security, especially during periods of peak demand.”

As a result, from next month the power fee will return to individual recipients’ accounts. According to the rates announced by the Energy Regulatory Office, for most households, which consume from 1200 kWh to 2800 kWh per year, this fee will be PLN 11.44 net per month. By the end of the year, the average household will pay an average of about PLN 70 more for electricity.

Paulina Henning-Kloska, the minister of climate and the environment, referred to possible amounts today. – The power fee is different with it. For small farms it will be PLN 2. It depends on how big the family is and how much electricity we use – said the head of the climate and environment in the broadcast “Guest of Radio Zet”.

As Polish radio reminds, regardless of the return of the power fee, the basic price of electricity for households is still covered by partial freezing. Pursuant to applicable regulations, the recipient of electricity in the G group G, i.e. households, have the right to 30 September this year. Use the price frozen at PLN 500 per mWh net. The current tariff of sellers ex officio for this group of recipients is PLN 622.8 per MWH net, and the difference between the tariff price and the free -free price pays the state to sellers.

Freezing energy prices extended?

The minister of climate and the environment does not rule out that it will propose an extension of shielding mechanisms for energy prices by the end of the year. This will depend on the results of the analysis of new tariffs that energy companies will submit to the Energy Regulatory Office by the end of July. – Jif the prices proposed by the companies will not go down to the statutory level, and I probably expect that not, I will propose the government to extend the energy covers, a shield that gives energy covers – She said on Radio Zet Henning-Kloska, emphasizing that it would be financed “from savings she has in the program in three quarters.”
