The escalation of rail protests awaits us. And there is a solution for PKP CARGO

Railwaymen are depressed with further dismissals. They accuse the government of conducting the “anti -circuit transport policy” and announce the escalation of protests that will hurt everyone.

The dismissals will mainly include operational employees – train drivers, auditors and plants. The Ministry of Infrastructure does not make decisions that are at your fingertips. Desperate trade unions are explained by stagnation.

Motivational system for giving up privileges

Escalation of railwaymen protests instead of government decisions

The railway is not in the government of its enthusiast, although the direction that the European Union has long forced should help a lot. But not in Poland. The rulers do not see the future in saving built roads and highways for passenger transport and in limiting the tonnage of trucks using Polish roads.

The trade union of railway train drivers has specific solutions to the problem, but they require the highest level – the premiere and minister of infrastructure. According to railwaymen, the transport of heavy aggregate, building materials, artificial fertilizers or steel should take place in Poland by rail, not highways.

This railway has places all over Poland, where these materials can be stored and stored, and distributed them to specific construction with short distance trucks. Such a decision would certainly unlock the right lane of all Polish highways. -If the government really wants to end the construction of the Central Communication Port, one composition of the freight train will transport as many heavy aggregates as 100 trucks-assures Leszek Miętek.

As the war in Ukraine shows, it is the railway that is the main supplier of heavy military equipment on the front – the railwaymen pay attention. This is the time to change the approach to state security and freight transport in Poland.

Railwaymen are preparing further protests

At the end of July this year, railwaymen blocked roads in a dozen or so places in the country, protesting against the termination of freight transport by rail. Trade unionists wanted to draw the government’s attention to the effects of transport policy favorable to road transport. – This is an election calculation, because about 800,000 people are associated with road business in Poland, and less and less – explains Leszek Miętek.

– We made pickets, there were road locks. They went unnoticed at all, as if nothing happened. No response, no conversation and no decisions.
