The end of another travel agency. “All holiday offers have been canceled”

Recently, we wrote about the collapse of the Polish Solaris Travel and the British company Wayfairer Travel, which canceled all their clients’ trips. A similar fate befell the Golf Villa Rentals company, which has been valued in England for 10 years and specializes in organizing golf trips. An alert has been issued for customers.

The Golf Villa Rentals tourist office is closing its operations

Golf Villa Rentals is based in East Sussex, near London, and has gained a lot of golf fans in recent years. As we know, this sport can be practiced in various places around the world, and participating in an organized trip has been the dream of many people. The list of proposed places included, among others: Portugal, Greece, Spain or the United States. Holiday packages included, among others: accommodation and meals.

Recently, the office’s good streak came to an end. Bankruptcy was announced and planned trips were canceled. The first information about problems appeared on August 18, when all the company’s profiles suddenly disappeared from social media. Customers who pre-paid for their trips lost money. Many of them were to leave at the end of 2026.

What can injured people do?

Customers who learned about the situation may be worried. However, it is encouraging that Golf Villa Rentals, a former member of ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents), used bankruptcy insurance and covered its members with it. This means that injured parties can count on compensation.

“All holiday offers have been canceled, but refunds are possible,” said the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA), the leading British association of travel agencies and tour operators.

When a similar situation occurs in Poland, similar rules apply, and in more difficult cases you can apply for compensation from the Tourist Guarantee Fund.
