The care allowance provokes ZUS for home control. Too much abuse

Opieka w chorobie

The Social Insurance Institution wants to know who specifically takes care of the careful person. That’s why the controllers walk around the houses.

Persons with sickness insurance have the right to benefit. Its amount is 80 percent. The grounds for the allowance and public holidays are also included in public holidays.

The care allowance is paid in the event of a temporary resignation from performing work in connection with the need to provide personal care, e.g. a sick child or other sick family member: a spouse, parent, child of a child, stepfather, stepmother, in -laws, grandchildren, siblings.

The limit of days on which it can be downloaded depends on the situation: 60 days are entitled to childcare up to 14 years old, 14 days for a sick child over 14 years or another family member, and 30 days for a sick child with a disabled child aged 14-18.

What exactly does ZUS check during home inspection?

Regardless of who requires care in the family, the condition for receiving a care allowance is to remain in the common household for the time of care – and this is carefully checked by ZUS.

The principle is simple: if you receive a care allowance and another person in the apartment was able to care for the sick, the benefit may be withdrawn. The goal of ZUS is to limit situations in which someone extorts money or accumulates it wrongly. I am talking about the following cases:

  • Someone receives a care allowance, but does not actually look after a sick child or other family member,

  • The allowance is used contrary to its purpose,

  • The basis is false sick leave – the guardian works or leaves during the dismissal instead of looking after the patient.

Who has the right to care benefit?

The right to care benefit It is entitled to persons covered by sickness insurance at ZUS, who are employees, contractors, cooperate with contractors, carry out work on the basis of an outgoing employment contract, conduct non -agricultural activities, are members of an agricultural production cooperative or a cooperative of agricultural circles, or are clergy.

In the event of childcare, the application must be completed Z-15A. In the event of taking care of a sick family member, the application will be appropriate Z-15B. Both applications can be downloaded from ZUS.
