The bicycle trail is perfect for a picnic. This is how you will visit Żywiec and beautiful villages

A bicycle trip can be one way to spend a picnic. A good choice would be to traverse the Velo Soła trail in the Beskids. If you like such travels, many attractions await you there.
Do you associate bicycle routes in the mountains with large hills and considerable difficulties? You don’t have to worry about it that you can’t do it. Even little experienced travelers choose the place. The route is picturesque and easy. Ideally suited to a picnic or other vacation time.
Velo Soła bicycle trail
I am talking about the trail along the Soła River towards Lake Żywiec. By choosing it, we go through the areas of Beskid communes: Rajcza, Milówka, Węgierska Górka, Radziechowy-Wieprz and Żywiec. It is best to start in Rajcza, a small picturesque village, to which we will reach by a train from Katowice. The start of the route is a park in Rajcza – right next to the Rajcza Centrum railway station. It is worth finishing the trip over the iconic Żywiec Lake in a larger city. You can stay there for a long time, relax all over the escapade, spend the night and then return to Rajcza by bike.
Each of the places passed on the route has a magical charm. We will admire the beautiful views, including the Beskid Mountains and Green Polany. We will also go along the river, so it will only add everything to the climate. The best solution is to drive the whole route, but if you want to stop at an earlier station, you will catch a return train from each. The total distance to cover is 39.44 km.
Easy route and many attractions
Are you afraid that the route in the mountains will be too difficult? Velo Soła is an interesting route because it leads all over a completely flat terrain. For this reason, many Poles fascinated by cycling and not necessarily experienced on difficult sections choose it today – both adults and children can traverse – the trail can traverse.
Along the way, there will be interesting attractions. The very beginning of the route, i.e. Rajcza and its park, are worth stopping, for a moment. In the area we will find a public brine inhaler, as well as the nineteenth-century Lubomirski Palace. During the next stops you will pass charming bridges, it will be worth visiting, among others Museum Old Chałupa or Local Pinta Brewery. To see the interesting attractions of Żywiec, you should slightly reflect from the trail and get the market square, the Habsburg Palace or the Żywiec Brewery Museum. Of course, the culmination of the trip will be rest on the banks of Lake Żywiec among mountain peaks away from noise and exhaust gases.
