Over 150 doctors with delayed payments, PLN 15.9 million in liabilities to staff and contractors, and infrastructure that requires emergency procedures. This is the situation of the 10th Military Clinical Hospital in Bydgoszcz, one of the facilities that should operate flawlessly in the event of a real threat from Russia.
Recently, there has been constant talk about security, state resilience and preparation for a crisis. Politicians warn against Russian aggression, the army is expanding its capabilities, and the Ministry of National Defense argues that it is necessary to rebuild military medicine. However, at the same time, existing military hospitals are struggling with problems that are difficult to reconcile with the story of the state’s readiness for the worst-case scenarios.
