The angler caught a gigantic rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus Mykiss). – He looked like Tarpon – admits the surprised enthusiast, quoted by eu.goerie.com.

The angler went to a favorite place to the river to catch trout. In the same place, however, there were also fish from the Megalopidae family. Atlantic tarpons reach up to 2.5 meters long and over 150 kilograms of weight.

When he pulled outcorhynchus out of the water, he was convinced that he was dealing with Tarponowat. Trophoma of trout is one of the largest specimens that has ever been caught to catch a 41-year-old.

The angler caught a giant fish. He will remember this day for a long time

The feat was made by David Hunsicker – a resident of Palmerton in Carbon (in Pennsylvania). He went over Trout Creek in Lehigh Fountains on April 13.

The eu.goerie.com website points out that the average trout is about 11 inches (almost 28 cm), while the 41-year-old caught was 30 “(almost 77.5 cm).-It was a good, beautiful fish-says Hunsicker. As he admitted, he initially thought he had Tarpon on a rod.-I was very excited. From six-eight feet of depth (about 1.83-2.44 m), and the water was colored.

A resident of America wrestled with a giant oncorhynchus for a few minutes. – It was definitely an amazing, amazing fight. (…) I felt as if it had been eternity. Five minutes of fighting fish is the equivalent of 30 minutes of work – he assures.

The rainbow trout weighed 5 kg

The enthusiast also revealed the remaining dimensions of the specimen. The trout had a circumference of 17.75 “(about 45 cm) and weighed just over 11 pounds (almost five kilograms).

As for the bait, which may seem unusual for people who are uncommon with the subject – they are plastic balls, soaked in oil. Hunsicker came up with such an idea with his brother – their goal was to create a bait that will not slide off the hook and resembles a salmon icry.
