The airline revolution. This will appear instead of seating
A well-known airline will introduce a revolutionary solution. Inconvenient economy class travel is a thing of the past.
One of the most popular airlines in the world plans to transform entire rows of seats into lie-flat beds. We are talking about United Airlines, which is currently working on such a solution and intends to introduce it to its offer by 2027. Interestingly, travelers will be able to use this facility in the cheapest economy class. Just a small fee is enough to use “Relax Row” and feel like a premium customer.
Places to lie down on planes
The dream of many passengers around the world is becoming a reality. United Airlines, the national carrier of the United States, intends to introduce lie-flat seats to its offer. However, it is not about the elite first class or sliding seats in business class, but economy seats which, when properly unfolded, turn into an “airplane bed”. The “Relax Row” project is to be implemented by 2027 and will allow passengers to travel comfortably without having to invest in a higher flight class.
What does “Relax Row” recommend?
The announced United Airlines service is a bit like the recent idea of Wizz Air. In the case of the American airline, we can also block the seats next to us – but not two, but a total of three seats. After storing the armrests, the seats create a comfortable space for lying down or even sleeping. The latter will definitely be made easier by the additional mattress that passengers will receive from United staff. Travelers who decide to purchase “Relax Row” will also be equipped with a blanket, two pillows and a plush mascot (if they are traveling with children).
By 2030, United Relax Row will be available on more than 200 of the airline’s 787 and 777 aircraft. A maximum of twelve rows will be covered by the service on each carrier’s aircraft. The price remains a secret for now. It is not known whether the fare will vary depending on the length of the route.
