The Google Flights feature was already famous a year ago. Tourists learned that thanks to it they could check on which dates airline tickets are the cheapest. Now it turns out that it is going to be even better. What is worth knowing about the service and how to use it?
New feature in Google Flights
The media spread the information that Google Flights now monitors ticket prices until the departure of the first flight from the reservation, and if the price drops, it refunds the difference to travelers via the Google Pay application. It sounds like a dream, but it’s true. Tests of the pilot program can already be carried out. The company assured that its algorithms are so reliable that the price it offers for a given flight is the lowest available, and customers can be sure that they will not overpay.
This option is a treat especially for those who approach traveling very economically. Although some airlines regularly organize promotions and sell tickets cheaper, unfortunately in many countries the prices of trips or accommodation are not the cheapest today. Google Flights ensures that it will ease the burden on our wallet.
We will receive a refund for the purchase of tickets if the difference in price is at least $5. You can receive a maximum of $500, and the amount must be transferred within 48 hours after the departure of the first flight in your reservation. To obtain it, you must confirm by e-mail that your reservation has been made by entering your confirmation number and name and accepting the terms of service.
How to use Google Flights?
The Google Flights program works on selected routes that can be found on Google Flights and that are booked through the websites of airlines or travel agencies. There are certain rules, as each person can create a maximum of three reservations at one time with a guarantee of the lowest price. Previously, you must be logged in to your Google account and have your location set to the US and currency set to US dollars (USD). – in Poland, it’s easy to do this when we use a private VPN network.
You should also remember that currently the lowest price guarantee only covers flights departing from the USA. You’ll also need to provide a US billing address and phone number on the Book on Google website. Those who regularly fly from the United States will benefit.
