However, there was a lot of randomness in the situation in which Uros Spajić, the defender of Red Star, fouled his younger opponent from Barcelona. The Serb certainly didn’t want to hurt his opponent. However, Pau Cubarsi suffered from a blow he received directly in the face. The footballer wanted to kick the ball by lowering his head low and at the same moment Spajić appeared with the intention of kicking the ball. This couldn’t end well.
Ultimately, the Barca defender had to leave the field prematurely, and the Serb was punished with a yellow card. The Spaniard’s face was covered with blood, his teammates immediately called medical services, some of them even had to turn their heads away from the whole incident.
After the match, photos of a smiling player with a severely injured face appeared on social media. It ended, among other things, ten stitches, Cubarsi will most likely wear a special mask during both training and matches in the near future. Fortunately, it was good that it ended with stitches and not, for example, with a Barcelona player being hit directly in the eye.
