Tension in the government. Dziemianowicz-Bąk on the "very strange media tour" of Minister Krzysztof Paszyk

There are sparks between the Minister of Family, Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk, and the Minister of Development, Krzysztof Paszyk. The bone of contention is primarily the program of subsidies for loans, but the dispute is becoming more and more personal. The Minister of Family was asked about this in “Fakty po Faktach”.

In Sunday’s “Fakty po Faktach”, Minister of Labor, Family and Social Policy Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk was asked about differences of opinion in the government on certain issues, including with the Minister of Development and Technology Krzysztof Paszyk from PSL.

Sparks on the line Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk – Krzysztof Paszyk

– I guess in every government there are ministers who work and ministers who prefer to comment. I chose work. The Ministry of Development and Minister Paszyk have clearly, for now, chosen to comment – she said.

She spoke of Paszyk’s “bizarre, very strange media tour”, referring to his recent statements. At the end of August, Paszyk expressed his lack of support for the idea of shortening working hours, which in turn is strongly promoted by Dziemianowicz-Bąk. He said then that if she does not want to “be a minister who will lead to further bankruptcies of hundreds of thousands of Polish entrepreneurs, she should not go down that path”.

– For the past week, every day, with a commitment worthy of a greater cause, he talked about draft laws or ideas, but not of his ministry, but of my ministry – Dziemianowicz-Bąk accused Paszyk in an interview with Diana Rudnik.

She added that “she would have preferred to talk to Minister Paszyk privately, but he never approached her with any suggestions.”

The bone of contention between the ministers is not the shorter working week, but above all the housing program. The Left has consistently announced that it will not support the idea of subsidizing loans – and this is a project whose official assumptions are finally to be presented at the Economic Committee of the Council of Ministers. There is a chance that on Wednesday the public will be informed of what the Ministry of Development is proposing.

The Left Announces Increase in Urban Construction

Anticipating the official presentation of the ministerial project, on Saturday the Left presented its own ideas for increasing the availability of housing. Traditionally, it focuses on cheap rental apartments.

– We have always believed that subsidizing loans means increasing housing prices, these are profits for developers and these are profits for banks. We have always believed this and I am glad that our partners in the government have begun to appreciate it – said Włodzimierz Czarzasty.

For the left, the most important thing is for the state to build rental apartments. Vienna is constantly cited as an example in this direction. “It works, it can function,” Czarzasty said.

The politician emphasized that such apartments would become the property of the state and local governments. “These are apartments for people who do not have creditworthiness. These are apartments for everyone. Importantly, these could be apartments that will remain in one family for generations,” he explained.

Are you sure there are 2 million vacant properties?

At the same time, the Left announces the start of a discussion with local government officials on the “wise use of vacant properties”. -The Left will submit a project to use two million vacant properties in Poland in such a way that both the owners of the apartments and those who will rent them will be happy – announced Czarzasty.

We looked into the subject of vacant buildings. Are there really as many as 2 million of them and are these buildings that taxing makes any sense – or would such an obligation encourage owners to demolish them? The Left has really overdone it in its calculations. More – in the text below.
