Tears of Maja Chwalińska in Paris. What news from Roland Garros!

Maja Chwalińska

Maja Chwalińska continues to fulfill her dreams. The Pole will play in the semi-finals of Roland Garros 2026 on Thursday (June 4). Will she beat Russian Diana Sznajder?

Maja Chwalińska on the tennis courts. Roland Garros achieved the success of her life. The 24-year-old tennis player played in the main draw of a Grand Slam tournament in the French capital for the first time. Chwalińska followed suit and first found herself in the second week of playing at the Parisian clay, and on Wednesday (i.e. June 3) she advanced to the top four in the singles competition.

There is no denying that the whole world is delighted with the attitude of the Polish tennis player. Tennis legend Chris Evert openly admitted on Eurosport that the Pole is a great player to watch due to her varied tennis and wide range of moves.

Maja Chwalińska – Diana Sznajder. Where and when to watch the Roland Garros semi-final?

The tears that appeared on Chwalińska’s face after reaching the semi-finals of Roland Garros 2026 are fully justified. The Pole came to Paris with the goal of entering the top hundred of the WTA ranking. Due to her excellent play, Chwalińska will be in 30th place in the world ranking after RG 2026.

Additionally, the Pole has already broken her record of earned money, comparing what she will take away from Paris with what she has earned throughout her career so far. Which also shows the scale of success we are talking about. However, money is not everything. The story of Iga Świątek’s friend is the most inspiring in this case. The girl, who is 24, was not sure several months ago whether she would return to professional tennis. And yet, she managed to choose what she loved, and in Paris she introduced herself to the great world of tennis, winning the hearts of fans, journalists, legends and experts.

In the semi-final, Maja Chwalińska will play against Russian Diana Sznajder. The Polish rival sensationally defeated Aryna Sabalenka in the quarterfinals. The fight for the final between Chwalińska and Sznajder will start around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday (i.e. June 4). Earlier, the two remaining semi-finalists will appear on the court, i.e. Marta Kostyuk from Ukraine and Mirra Andreeva – also from Russia.

The former eliminated Iga Świątek in the fourth round of the Paris tournament.

The Kostiuk-Andreyeva match starts at 3:00 p.m. The RG 2026 women’s final is scheduled for Saturday (i.e. June 6).

RG 2026 matches are shown on Eurosport, on a total of four channels of the station. Additionally, the online competition is available via the HBO Max platform. The competition in the main tournament is scheduled from May 24 to June 7.
