Teachers will gain gigantic briefings. Even 75 thousand PLN on hand
From January, teachers will gain a new privilege – a six -month briefing. This means an additional tens of thousands of zlotys on your account.
From September 1, the amendment to the Teacher’s Card has been in force, introducing a package of changes beneficial for educators. The largest of them is an increase in retirement and disability severance pay and the introduction of a new jubilee benefit. The reform assumes that after 20 years of work, teachers will receive a pension for a retirement, or teaching compensation benefit in the amount of up to six months of remuneration.
Higher severance pay
Until now, severance pays were much lower and amounted to two salaries after 10 years of work and three salaries after 15 years. From the new year after 20 years of work, the rate will increase to six wages. For a qualified teacher, whose minimum basic salary is currently PLN 6,210.75 gross, this means a check -in at PLN 37,264.50 gross. It should be remembered that the benefit is taxable.
The amendment predicts that the severance pay will also be entitled to part -time employed teachers – even below half of the classes. This is to improve the situation of this professional group, which until now in the field of check -in has been in a worse position than employees of administration and school service.
Jubilee awards
However, this is not the only change. From September, teachers also received higher jubilee awards after 40 years of work and a completely new benefit after 45 years of internship. Education Minister Barbara Nowacka emphasized that it equalizes this injustice towards educators – this award was previously entitled to local government employees, but not teachers.
The new regulations also open the way to extremely high payments in the event of termination of the employment relationship. If the teacher is terminated pursuant to art. 20 para. 1 point 2 of the Teachers’ Card, and at the same time he will retire or compensation, may receive two briefings. One in the amount of six salaries for terminating the employment relationship and the other-also six salaries-as retirement and disability. In practice, the total amount can reach up to 75 thousand.
