Świątek with historical success. The Polish woman did it for the first time in her career!
Iga Świątek in the phenomenal style was promoted to the final of the WTA 1000 tournament in Cincinnati. Jelena Rybakina did not find a way to play a Polish woman.
The WTA 1000 tournament on hard courts in Cincinnati is for tennis players the last test before the Grand Slam US Open.

In the first semi -final of this year’s competition Iga Świątek faced Jelena Rybakina. The Polish woman, who is placed with the third number, was considered the favorite of the meeting.
For tennis players it was a tenth duel in his career. Iga Świątek has a slightly better balance – she won five times, including in all three matches played this year.
Even before the start of the semi -final it was known that the representative of Kazakhstan would be a difficult rival. In the quarterfinals she gave a show of the game, eliminating the leader of the world ranking Aryna Sabalenka.

The initial balls have already shown that the match of Świątek with Rybakina will be fierce. Tennis players were alternately won to zero.
The first problems of the Polish woman appeared at 3: 3. Jelena Rybakina won three exchanges without major problems. After using the second Break Point, she secured the first break that day.
After the sixth ace, the representative of Kazakhstan took the lead 5: 3. Iga Świątek, however, did not give up. The Polish woman showed off a few successful outlets and won three games in a row. After the phenomenal end she wrote on her account of the first set (7: 5).
During the match, commentators noticed that Iga Świątek never lost the first set in the WTA 1000 tournament in her career.

In the second part of the match Iga Świątek again showed off a very good service. The Polish woman quickly took the lead 3: 1which after the mistakes of the rivals rapidly increased to 4: 1. Jelena Rybakina tried to make up for the losses and reverse the fate of the match.
At the state 5: 2 Kazaszka was under great pressure. Breaking would mean the end of the match. Ultimately, however, she used a slightly more nervous moment in the game of Iga Świątek and led to the state 5: 3. Finally, however Iga Świątek turned out to be better by winning the 6: 3 set and thus the whole match.
Iga Świątek will play for the first time in his career in the final of the tournament in Ohio. Her rival will be the winner of the duel Jasmine Paolini – Wieronik Kudiermietowa. The final meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 19.
