The National Bank of Poland has published official average exchange rates for Friday, May 30, 2025. The list shows both the increases and decreases in the world’s most important currencies. Questions are announced on business days at noon, usually between 11:45 and 12:15. Below we present key changes and full exchange rate data.

What is happening on the currency market?

On Friday, May 30, 2025, the euro is valued at PLN 4.2507, which means increase compared to Thursday (PLN 4.2369). Frank Swiss also gained value – his exchange rate increased to PLN 4,5555. In turn, the American dollar and the British pound lost slightly – to PLN 3.7537 and PLN 5.0552, respectively.

The declines also affected currencies such as the Australian dollar (Aud), which fell by more than one penny to PLN 2.4079. The New Zealand dollar (NZD) also went down, which currently costs PLN 2.2338. The value of the Singapore dollar (SGD) decreased to PLN 2.9073, and Canadian (CAD) – to PLN 2.7167.

On the other hand, increases were recorded, among others In the case of the Bulgarian left (BGN), whose exchange rate increased to PLN 2.1733, and the Brazilian (BRL) real estate, which reached the level of PLN 0.6620. The following crowns also gained: Danish (DKK) – PLN 0.5699 and Swedish (sec) – PLN 0.3907.

Among the European currencies, the Czech Crown (CZK) also noted the increase – its course is PLN 0.1704, and Hungarian Forint (HUF) increased slightly to PLN 0.01052. Japanese Jen also gained – it currently costs PLN 0.026056.

  • Japanese Jen (JPy): PLN 0.026056 (increase from PLN 0.025875)

What affects exchange rates?

Currency courses are set by the NBP on business days between 11:45 and 12:15 and depend on many factors, such as GDP, inflation, interest rates and geopolitical situation.

The currency system based on gold has long ago departed in history – today a fiduci -money, whose value results from trust and legal regulations, and not coverage in ores.
