Krysia Zmitrowicz: The philosophy that we consists of in our kitchen is “the shortest way from field to table”. We have been supporting local, ecological farms for years, buying the highest quality natural products from them. The taste of our cheese, the smell of herbs, vegetables, fruits, mushrooms straight from the field, orchard and forest, which we use when preparing meals, delight our guests. We are very happy. Our guests repeatedly emphasize that in Aphrodite you can feel as if time has stopped here. We very much appreciate our location, respect nature, and also respect its rights every day. Our life flows slower, thanks to which we can celebrate every moment properly. Our own smokehouse, bakery and ponds allow us to prepare the highest class ecological meals in the right rhythm. Aphrodite won, among others in the Perfect Spa competition and won the prize for Wellness Cousine. We are also a laureate in the SPA Prestige Awards in the Eco Spa category.

Kurt Scheller himself cooked at Aphrodite SPA. There are legends about your kitchen. What is your secret?

This is no secret, but a very simple recipe that we have been using for years: a combination of the craftsmanship of our chefs with the highest quality of natural products. It is a very tasty, healthy and ecological composition, which we serve every day on the tables in our restaurant.

We live away from the hustle and bustle of the city, in full harmony with nature. Lubuskie is a real geographical gem, referred to as the most forested region of Poland. Near Aphrodite there is 11 lakes, a landscape park of the Warta Ujście, in which there are over 300 species of birds. In the position of Aphrodite, and in it – as you can see – there is something magical that not only guests, but also animals come back to us.

As a director of Aphrodite SPA, I have heard many times that our guests want to live healthy and well after returning home. For some, these are daily walks, which were not in their lives before, for others it is a more conscious selection of products for meals because of their origin – now they are more willing to look at the market squares offering crops from the immediate area. Earlier, they didn’t even realize how much fantastic and healthy products they were in their direct range. During the several days of stays, we can, and more precisely, our special specialists from Bali and the Philippines can, demonstrate how a beneficial influence on our lives has the care of body and mind harmony. Sometimes I even have the impression that in a natural way as Ośno Lubuskie, where Aphrodite SPA is located, we joined the Tuscan movement of Cittàslow, a kind of soft tourism, which can be described as slow, quiet, quiet, accurately and actively, as opposed to the so -called Hard tourism adhering to the principles: mass, quickly, loud, lots, superficially etc. Our philosophy is primarily the protection of the natural environment, promotion of traditional local products and the pursuit of improving the quality of life.
