The greatest successes in your career? Olympic gold medal (2000), bronze at the Olympics (2004), world championship (1997) and vice-championship (1999), and bronze at the European Championships (2004). Koksharov won all his titles as a representative of Russia.

The Russian was also an eight-time Slovenian champion and played a key role in the historic EHF Champions League victory in the 2003/04 season, the first and only Champions League title in Slovenian handball history, with RK Celje Pivovarna Laško.

Eduard Koksharov died suddenly at the age of 50.
