Spotify announces another price increase. The company explains changes in the development of services and sees a chance to get up to a billion users.

Spotify is preparing for the next increases in subscription prices. In an interview with the Financial Times, the co -chair and business director Alex Norstrustöm admitted that the corrections of fees will be introduced gradually, in parallel with starting new functions. The company’s goal is further expansion and acquiring up to a billion users.

Inevitable increases

Over the years, prices remained unchanged, and the first increases appeared only two years ago. Spotify also expands the catalog of available content. Users have already created nearly 9 billion playlists, and the platform has been enriched with audiobooks, podcasts and tools such as a virtual DJ using AI.
