Someone hit six in the Lotto, a few days ago in Żory they won 4.2 million at random
In Thursday’s Lotto draw, there was one six, worth PLN 2 million. A few days ago, a resident of Żory won PLN 4.2 million by sending a random ticket.
The following numbers were drawn in Thursday’s Lotto draw: 2, 6, 10, 18, 21 and 22. They were on the ticket of one of the players. He will receive a prize of PLN 2 million.
Two big wins in one week
There were 48 fifth-tier winnings recorded in the last draw. If you hit five, the winning amount was PLN 4,412. It is worth remembering that the amounts that will go to players will be lower, because for winnings above PLN 2,280, a 10% tax is charged.
On September 17, PLN 4.2 million was won by a resident of Żory, who apparently does not have a set of lucky numbers because he bet randomly.
We wish the winners luck – because, paradoxically, they will need it. A big win is often a precursor to many unexpected problems. Of course, at the beginning there is the joy of winning and big plans, but the reality experienced by the winners proves that only sensible and organized people can handle big money.
Money (from Lotto) does not buy happiness
There are many cases in Poland where spectacular winnings quickly disappeared. One of the most famous examples concerns Roman W. from a small town near Dobre Miasto. In 1995, after pawning his wedding ring, Roman bought a ticket that brought him double winnings within two weeks. However, instead of increasing his fortune, he quickly spent the money on luxury goods, travel, real estate investments and a disco. Just five years later, in 2000, the man had nothing left – he lost both his house and all his investments.
A similar fate befell a couple from Kujawy who won one million zlotys thirty years ago. Although the couple invested in real estate for their children, deteriorating family relations meant that the parents were ultimately left alone, forced to live in a studio apartment and use social assistance.
A common threat that winners face is maintaining privacy. An example of this can be found in the story of a resident of Osin from the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. After boasting about his winnings at a local bar, he was attacked by thieves who stole his ticket. Fortunately, the police managed to recover it.
