Sochan quickly extinguished the journalist. “Maybe we are distant cousins.”

Tomasz Sommer skomentował kampanię z udziałem Jeremy'ego Sochana i Katarzyny Niewiadomej

Journalist Tomasz Sommer did not like the campaign involving Polish basketball player Jeremy Sochan. His entry was met with a quick reaction from the person concerned.

The Polish Tourist Organization and the Ministry of Sport and Tourism have launched a new campaign promoting our country abroad. Two Polish athletes were invited to the “Poland, More than you think” campaign – cyclist Katarzyna Niewiadoma and basketball player Jeremy Sochan.

Sommer’s scandalous comment during the campaign with Niewiadoma and Sochan

In both cases, these are top-class athletes who proudly represent Poland on the international arena. However, this is not enough for Tomasz Sommer, journalist and editor-in-chief of the periodical “Najzywa Czas!”, who decided to comment on the new campaign in a scandalous way on the social networking site X.

“What is this? This is an “advertisement of Poland” served to the public by the Ministry of Tourism led by Sławomir Nitras. Mandatory set: a black man with a tarantula on his head and a blonde. Did the Smilies go completely crazy?” – the journalist wrote under the graphic with Niewiadoma and Sochan.

Sochana’s retort stole the hearts of Internet users

His entry was met with an immediate reaction. “These are some of the best Polish athletes. You’re welcome,” wrote Katarzyna Kotula, Minister of Equality, in a comment. “This boy is Polish. Just like you. Even more so. Because Poles aren’t shit. And you…” said writer Jakub Żulczyk.

Sochan himself also decided to respond to Sommer. “Yes, my friend, you never know, maybe we are distant cousins… Guys go to Poland, it’s beautiful!” – the basketball player wrote on his profile on the X platform. Niewiadoma also responded to Sommer’s post. “Sometimes it is worth understanding who we are talking about. “X is not for everyone,” we read.

The basketball player’s retort was met with great enthusiasm from commentators. “Respect, Jeremy Sochan,” wrote journalist Janusz Schwertner. “No, it didn’t happen,” responded “Łukasz “Juras” Jurkowski.
