The National Bank of Poland (NBP) announced that at the beginning of the second half of last year the value of cash in circulation reached a record amount of PLN 443 billion. This is an increase of 7.4%. compared to the same period in 2024.
Why do Poles withdraw their savings from banks and keep them at home? People deciding to take this step most often justify their decision with uncertainty related to the geopolitical situation, but also with concerns about the operation of payment systems.
