Six pairs of yellow trains on an important route. Faster and cheaper than Pendolino

Pociąg RegioJet

From March 1, Poles can use additional Regiojet trains on an important Polish route. We will arrive quickly and cheaper than Pendolino.

Regiojet wants to become the first choice of Poles on the railway route between Warsaw and Poznań. The Czech carrier, which has also been operating connections in our country for several months, may be a cheaper and faster alternative to PKP Intercity trains. “The journey from Poznań Główny to Warszawa Centralna station in less than two and a half hours is offered by only 20 trains a day” – RegioJet, Pendolino and Express InterCity connections. The most important difference, however, concerns the price,” encourages the Czech carrier. The cost of a one-way ticket from its competitor PKP starts from PLN 27.

6 pairs of Regiojet trains on the Warsaw-Poznań route

Regiojet tempted Poles with low prices from the beginning. However, the small number of routes operated and the courses on these routes remained a problem. This will slowly change – from March 1, 2026, on the Warsaw-Poznań-Warsaw section, passengers can choose from six pairs of yellow trains leaving from morning to evening, on average every three hours. “RegioJet is thus introducing real competition on a key route – especially in the area of prices,” says the carrier’s press office. Tickets in the basic tariff can be purchased for as little as PLN 27, while in PKP, if we want to cover the route in a similar time, we have to spend even several times more.

“We offer a faster connection than Pendolino – the fastest journey takes only 2 hours and 12 minutes, and at a fraction of the price. We believe that we will soon become the first choice for passengers traveling between these cities,” says Mirka Hanczakowska, project manager for Poland.

Water and coffee are included in the ticket price

Regiojet has free facilities even for passengers traveling in the lowest classes. Starting from water, which is available free of charge for people traveling in the Low Cost tariff, to coffee, which can be enjoyed by passengers in the Standard, Relax and Business tariffs (the latter will also receive juice). Everyone has free Wi-Fi at their disposal, as well as a selection of snacks from the on-board menu, which is surprisingly low in price.
