Shokz OpenDots 2 and OpenDots Air enter the city, office and lifestyle

• Shokz expands its open-ear headphones portfolio with two new clip-on models: the advanced OpenDots 2 and the lighter and more affordable OpenDots Air.

• The new headphones have been designed with everyday use in mind: phone calls, city calls, physical activity, listening to music and working without cutting yourself off from the surroundings.

• OpenDots 2 is available for PLN 849, and OpenDots Air for PLN 599.

For years, Shokz has been a brand associated primarily with running, cycling and outdoor activities. However, the new models show a broader direction of the brand’s development. OpenDots 2 and OpenDots Air were created for people who use headphones all day long: training at the gym, walking, shopping or listening to music and podcasts in the city, as well as working at the computer and chatting online. The open design of the devices allows you to listen to sound without completely cutting yourself off from the surroundings.

OpenDots 2. Everyday comfort in a clip-on design

OpenDots 2 are the most advanced Shokz open-ear headphones with a clip. The model was designed for users who expect a combination of high sound quality, stability, comfort and a discreet form that suits both their personal style and everyday activities.

Each earphone weighs only 6.4 g, and the compact clip-on design stays firmly on the ear without the pressure typical of classic in-ear headphones. Thanks to this, OpenDots 2 can be worn comfortably for many hours while working, talking, moving around the city, exercising or resting.

The fit is ensured by the JointArc construction with a flexible nickel-titanium alloy plate that naturally adapts to the shape of the ear. Soft silicone elements at the contact points increase comfort, and the minimalist form makes the headphones fit well into everyday, urban style.

Sound designed for everyday life

OpenDots 2 uses Bassphere™ 2.0, MirrorPitch™ and enhanced Dolby Audio technology. The combination of these solutions is intended to provide a fuller sound, clearer bass, higher volume and lower distortion levels despite the small, open design of the headphones. MirrorPitch technology directs sound at the right angle and reflects it towards the ear, improving the perceived depth and clarity of the sound.

For users using headphones at work or in the city, call quality is also important. OpenDots 2 is equipped with a bone conduction microphone and two air conduction microphones. The system supported by AI-based noise reduction helps to better capture the user’s voice and reduce background interference, also in more demanding conditions, such as the office, street, public transport or gym.

Everyday comfort. Battery, control and resistance

OpenDots 2 offer up to 10 hours of playback on a single charge and up to 40 hours of operation including the charging case. A quick 5-minute charge provides up to 2 hours of playback, and Qi-certified wireless charging adds convenience to everyday use.

The headphones support multi-point pairing, so you can connect them to two devices at the same time, such as a smartphone and a laptop. This solution is particularly useful in hybrid work, when the user switches between a phone call, an online meeting and listening to music.

Dynamic ear detection allows you to use the left and right headphones interchangeably, automatically adjusting audio channels. And new force-sensing buttons let you control music and calls with simple gestures like tap, squeeze and hold.

OpenDots 2 are dust and water resistant to IP57 for the headphones and IP54 for the charging case.

OpenDotsAir. A lighter option for everyday use

Together with OpenDots 2, the Shokz brand also introduces OpenDots Air, a lighter and more affordable model from the same series. This is a proposition for people who are looking for comfortable, stylish open-ear headphones for everyday use, but at a lower price.

OpenDots Air weigh 6.3 g per earpiece and use a clip-on design that does not close the ear canal. The model has been designed to naturally blend into your everyday look and work well in typical daily scenarios: while working, talking, commuting, walking or listening to music in the background.

The headphones feature Bassphere™ acoustic technology, dual air conduction microphones, multi-point pairing and dynamic ear detection. DirectPitch™ technology helps limit sound propagation beyond the headphones, increasing discretion while listening.

OpenDots Air provide up to 9 hours of playback on a single charge and up to 36 hours of operation including the charging case. A quick 10-minute charge allows for up to 2 hours of playback, and the IP55 resistance rating protects the headphones against sweat and splashes.
